Each year, Austin Tan Cerca de la Frontera hosts our International Women's Day Celebration, a day that symbolizes breaking barriers, binaries, and reclaiming our worlds. Our event features local musicians, spoken word performers, and a community altar, all of which center around themes of art, resistance, and remembrance. Attendees are invited to participate in our annual lotería game and contribute to our altar of remembrance. This celebration not only commemorates the contributions of women and femmes, including our beloved co-founder Judith Rosenberg, but also serves as a call to action, urging our community to continue the fight against oppression in all its forms.
