Since 1999 we have visited the communities and homes of maquiladora workers organizing with the Comité Fonterizo de Obreras/os (CFO), a grassroots Mexican organization. We learn from their resilience and creativity as they confront the “free trade” policies of governments and transnational corporations. Currently CFO special projects are a democratic union where none existed before and a successful, ongoing gender rights workshop for women.
